Welcome to this week's edition of the HAWK Talk Newsletter! We're excited to share the latest happenings and updates from our school community to keep you informed and engaged.

Feed It Forward 25/26

What is it?

Feed It Forward is a school meal account that accepts donations and accommodates students in need of a meal who don't have sufficient funds in their account.

How does it work?

Parents can donate to the account on the LINQ App when they are adding funds for their students, or they can drop cash or a check off at the district office or their schools office.
When a student comes through the breakfast or lunch line and doesn't have the funds to cover the cost of their meal, the cashier can choose to use the school's account.
Students will only be able to use the school account for full meals and not individual items.
No second meals. Second meals on a student account are charged at the adult price. Allowing students to purchase second meals on the school account will deplete the account more quickly.

Reminder for Parents/Guardians

Beginning in 6th grade, students are not allowed to “charge” meals (eat now and pay later). Please ensure your child has funds available for school meals. Students without funds will not be provided a meal.

You can pay for meals in two ways:

Online Payment System (LINQ Connect)

We encourage families to set up a free online account through LINQ Connect. With this system, you can:

Add money to your child(ren)’s accounts
Set up low-balance alerts
Monitor your child(ren)’s spending
View school menus

Other Payment Options

If you prefer not to use the online system, you may:

Send a check (payable to Kuna School District CNP). Please include your child’s full name on the check.
Send cash in a sealed envelope with your child’s name on it.

Please note: Schools cannot accept debit cards.

Free & Reduced-Price Meals

Families are encouraged to apply online for free or reduced-price meals.

Parent Advisory Committee (PAC)

Our first PAC meeting will be held September 2nd at 4:00 PM. This is where we discuss dances, student activities, possible fundraisers, and other possible events for the school. The meetings will be held virtually. Click the link below if you'd like to attend.

Picture Day

Picture Day was Thursday, August 28th

Parents will receive a secure link to view and purchase photos to the email addresses provided by the school. Parents will also be able to go to a website, www.DirectPhoto.net, where they can view their student’s photos using their Student ID Number.

Picture retakes are scheduled for September 30th
