Save the Date to Meet Finalists for Kuna Superintendent

At a special meeting Thursday, the Kuna School District Board of Trustees moved forward in the search for the district’s next superintendent, as Superintendent Kim Bekkedahl prepares to retire.

The Board selected three finalists from a group of applicants and outlined the next steps in the process, including opportunities for the community to meet the finalists and provide feedback.
Three KSD Superintendent finalists: Jeffrey Gee, Marcus Myers, and David Reinhart.

The finalists selected by the Board are:

  • Jeffrey Gee, Superintendent, Ririe School District
  • Marcus Myers, Chief Academic Officer, West Ada School District
  • David Reinhart, Director of Education Services, West Ada School District; former Assistant Superintendent, Kuna School District

Next Steps: Save the Date – February 24

Finalist interviews will take place on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, and will include opportunities for engagement and feedback, including:

Interviews and School Tours: The Board of Trustees will conduct formal interviews with each candidate and will have the finalists tour district schools and facilities.

Community Engagement: Opportunities will be scheduled in the afternoon and evening for staff, parents, and community members to learn more about the candidates and provide feedback to the Board. More details and times will be shared soon.

Committee: The Board appointed a committee of district staff to help develop questions for the community opportunities:

  • Kevin Gifford, Director of Curriculum
  • Deb Bradburn, Instructional Coach
  • Stuart Vickers, Career Technical Education Administrator & Secondary Education Coordinator
  • Kelly Schamber, Special Education Director
  • Kimberly Barker, Principal, Indian Creek Elementary & Elementary Education Coordinator
