AVID Field Trip

Students currently enrolled in the AVID class recently visited Boise State University. During their visit, they toured the campus and got a glimpse of what college life is like. Students had the chance to explore classrooms from a variety of academic pathways, ask questions, and picture themselves as future college students.
These experiences are a big part of what AVID is all about—helping students see the possibilities ahead and build confidence in their future goals.

Congratulations Robotics

Congratulations to our Robotics Team that qualified for state this past weekend. They competed in Vale, Oregon. This is the first year we've had a Robotics Team and they are representing Fremont Middle School well. Nice job!

Energy Drinks

We are committed to fostering an environment where students can stay focused, healthy, and ready to learn. To support this, we’d like to remind all students and families that energy drinks are not permitted on school grounds.
While we understand the temptation to grab a quick boost during a long day, these drinks often contain high levels of caffeine, taurine, and sugar that aren't ideal for a learning environment.

Kuna Education Foundation

Bridge Grant

Congratulation to Erin Laughlin for being awarded a $50 Bridge Grant by the Kuna Education Foundation.

Erin Laughlin - 6th Grade Science - Erin goes above and beyond daily to make Science a fun and engaging class for her students. She consistently reaches out to parents when she has concerns but also to parents to acknowledge how much she enjoys having a student in her class. Recently, we've had a teacher have to take long term leave and Erin has gone above and beyond to make sure lessons are ready for the substitute, students are where they need to be, helping the substitute, taking over a food drive the other teacher was in charge of, and going above and beyond to make sure the other teachers and students have what they need. Erin is an integral part of our staff and is a positive role model not just to her students but to the other staff in our building.

Feed It Forward

Feed it Foward-Donation Opportunity

Feed It Forward: Supporting Students, One Meal at a Time

No child should go hungry. No child should be shamed.

A Feed It Forward program allows community members to make financial contributions to cover student meal debt or negative balances, ensuring every child has access to a healthy meal.

 How It Works

1 Donation
Community members, parents, or organizations donate funds through the school’s online meal payment system LINQ when adding funds to your student account or you can drop off cash or check at the district office or the office at Fremont Middle School indicating it’s for Fremont Middle School.
2. Fund Application
Donations are applied to reduce or eliminate student meal debt.
3.  No Stigma
Students receive meals without being denied food or experiencing “lunch shaming.” When students come through the breakfast or lunch line and don't have the funds to cover the cost of their meal the cashier can choose to use the school’s account.
4Using the Account
No Al A Carte purchases. Students will only be able to use the school account for full meals and not individual items (ex. An extra piece of pizza, an extra roll, or an extra cookie.
No Second Meals. Second meals on a student account are charged at the adult price. Allowing students to purchase second meals on the school account will deplete the account more quickly.

❤️ Why It’s Important

✅ Combats Hunger – Ensures all students receive nutritious meals, regardless of ability to pay.
✅Community Support – Gives community members a way to directly support local schools.
✅Addresses Meal Debt – Helps schools manage outstanding balances.
✅Reduces Lunch Shaming – Promotes a positive, supportive school environment.

🙌 Get Involved Today!

Your contribution makes a direct difference for children in your community.

Together, we can feed it forward.
