In a unanimous decision Feb. 24, the Kuna Board of Trustees named Marcus Myers as the sole finalist for the position of Kuna School District superintendent.
The Board has authorized Chairman Michael Thornton and Trustee Freddy Wheeler to enter into negotiations regarding the specific terms of the contract with Myers.
Marcus currently serves as the Chief Academic Officer of Student Success in the West Ada School District. In this role, he provides executive oversight of district departments supporting student success across 58 schools serving nearly 40,000 students.
He leads cross-departmental initiatives, directs the district’s crisis response and performs other duties associated with his position. Prior to this position, he served as the Chief Academic Officer of Teaching and Learning, Region Director, Elementary Principal, Assistant Principal and Elementary Teacher, all in the West Ada School District.
He holds an Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree, a master’s degree in Educational Leadership and a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.
