Feed it Forward-Donation Opportunity

🌟Feed It Forward: Supporting Students, One Meal at a Time
No child should go hungry. No child should be shamed.

A Feed It Forward program allows community members to make financial contributions to cover student meal debt or negative balances, ensuring every child has access to a healthy meal.

💡 How It Works

1. 🍎Donation
Community members, parents, or organizations donate funds through the school’s online meal payment system LINQ when adding funds to your student account or you can drop off cash or check at the district office or the office at Fremont Middle School indicating it’s for Synergy Middle School.
2.🤝Fund Application
Donations are applied to reduce or eliminate student meal debt.
3.🏫 No Stigma
Students receive meals without being denied food or experiencing “lunch shaming.” When students come through the breakfast or lunch line and don't have the funds to cover the cost of their meal the cashier can choose to use the school’s account.
4. 🍎Using the Account
No Al A Carte purchases. Students will only be able to use the school account for full meals and not individual items (ex. An extra piece of pizza, an extra roll, or an extra cookie.
No Second Meals. Second meals on a student account are charged at the adult price. Allowing students to purchase second meals on the school account will deplete the account more quickly.

 💖Why It’s Important
✅ Combats Hunger – Ensures all students receive nutritious meals, regardless of ability to pay.
✅Community Support – Gives community members a way to directly support local schools.
✅Addresses Meal Debt – Helps schools manage outstanding balances.
✅ Reduces Lunch Shaming – Promotes a positive, supportive school environment.

🙌 Get Involved Today!

Your contribution makes a direct difference for children in your community.
Together, we can feed it forward.
