About Us

Fremont H. Teed Middle School is proud to be part of the Kuna Community, serving students in grades 6-8 in the heart of Kuna. Our school is part of a community with deep roots, a strong sense of identity, and a history that reaches back to the earliest days of Kuna. Our name is more than just a name on a building. It connects our students to the people and stories that helped shape the community we call home. 

Our Namesake

Fremont H teed was one of the early founders of modern-day Kuna. In 1903, he claimed 200 acres of land that would later become part of the Kuna townsite. He helped establish the community, served as Kuna's postmaster, and helped officially plat the town, alongside D.R. Hubbard.

Teed also played an important role in Kuna's early education. When Kuna's first first school began in a tent in 1908, his former home and post office became one of the community's earliest schoolhouses. 

Our School

The building that is now Fremont H Teed Middle School has served generations of the Kuna students in several different roles over the years. After previously serving as Kuna Junior High and later Fremont H. Teed Elementary School, it became Fremont Middle School in 2018

Today, Fremont H Teed Middle School continues a tradition of education that began in Kuna more than a century ago. While our community, classrooms, and students have changed tremendously since those first lessons were taught in a tent and a pioneer's home, the purpose remains much the same: creating a place where young people can learn, grow, and be part of something bigger than themselves.

We are proud of where we come from, proud of the community we serve, and proud to carry the Fremont H Teed name into the next generation.
